Mother Misery - From Shadow To Ghost (Vinyl)

MOTHER MISERY is a Swedish band that plays a mix of hard 'n' heavy rock and melodic metal, adding a certain Nordic charm to their music as only they can and thus creating their own genre: supersonic rock. Founded in 1998, MOTHER MISERY released their debut album “Grandiosity” in 2004 and its follow-up “All Eyes On You” three years later on the well-known underground label Daredevil Records. After another three years, “Standing Alone” was released as the third film and finally “Megalodon” was released in 2018 as the fourth film. In addition to the studio albums, two EPs were also released, “For The Crows” (2006) and “Deadication” (2018). Even back then, the quartet was praised by fans and the specialist press for its dynamics in terms of melody and singing. Their last release “Megalodon” is also full of catchy choruses, rousing hooks and a mixture of hardness and lightness that gets your head and hips moving.

The Swedish four-piece from Enköping also have a lot to show live. They have already shared stages around the world with institutions like Entombed, Queensryche, Lynch Mob, Sepultura, Life Of Agony, Deathstars, The Quireboys and Evergrey and received good reviews across the board of the fans present. The troupe also has festival experience, for example performing at the Zwarte Cross Festival (NL), where there were more than 150,000 people.

On December 15th, album #5 “From Shadow To Ghost” will be released via Doc Gator Records, exclusively on vinyl, which will be available in three different colors and in proven Doc Gator quality.

Singer and guitarist John Hermansen speaks about the thematic focus:

Now, I've never thought of or tried to make a "theme album" before, but when I look at the lyrics to 'From Shadow To Ghost' I see a pattern and a little red line running through all the songs and which I didn't recognize at first. Basically, it's about how we treat each other, how we shape the world and what we leave to our children.

After black, thrash and power metal, we have brought MOTHER MISERY, a Swedish catchy tune factory, into our line-up that will delight all fans of robust hard rock, hard grooves, energetic, earthy vocals, catchy melodies and their special “supersonic rock”.

We are convinced that the holidays have never had such a great soundtrack as in 2023 with our Swedish supersonic rockers from MOTHER MISERY and the ten varied songs that they put under the Christmas tree for us on “From Shadow To Ghost”!
