Since their formation in 2016 in Kerzers, Freiburg, Akroasis have undertaken an impressive musical journey through the world of sophisticated extreme metal. Founded by Marcel Knupp (guitar) and Gerhard Baeriswyl (drums, ex-Anitras Garden) , the band quickly grew to include talented musicians such as Christof Schafer (lead guitar, ex-Distant Past) , Hänsù Zürrer (bass, 2017) and Robin Hermanek (vocals, 2019) .

With their debut album "Ilion" (2021), an epic concept album about the Trojan War, Akroasis gained great recognition in the scene. But with their second album "Hubris" (2024) they are now opening a new chapter - uncompromising, powerful and full of musical development.

Recorded in the renowned Little Creek Studio , "Hubris" brings with it an even more aggressive and versatile direction. The album combines melodic guitar solos, thrashy parts and brutal death metal to create a sonic force. After Robin Hermanek left, Mike Brügger took over the vocals and provided a new, intense dynamic.
